That's a shitty situation. It's very often that people do silly things at meets and the chance of your car getting hit at a meet is much higher. It sucks but it's the risk you take when you attend a car meet.

This was so hard to watch the first time and hearing how this happened made it worse. Sounds like an inexperienced driver, powerful car, poor location & bad judgement. Luckily no one was hurt. #lessonlearned HOPEFULLY. Thanks for filling in the gaps Leviathan. Still sad to watch.

There are some things I'm not very clear on in this video. So the crasher just started running like Forest Gump and left his car at the scene? Was the rumor true that his sister came by in a Lamborghini? What was civil? Between who? What happened to the owner of the R8? Whom was the McLaren registered under? Why was there no mention of the lame supreme sticker on the dash and the guy filming should have realized he could have died at sight of that sticker in a McLaren?

The McLaren driver was a Chinese teenager whose dad bought him the car. But it's not a big deal to a guy like the Chinese teenager. He has plenty of supercars and if he wants his billionaire father will buy him another 720s.
Great insight on the situation, I’m taking delivery of my 720S in a month and the recent crashes have made me nervous about car having traction issues. One suggestion though, your videos are over produced, keep it simple with the phone call with better audio, and cut the crazy montage and techno music, it takes away from the video.

Now to start off, I hope you see this. Anyway, I’m 17 years old and live in South Africa, this means that on my 17th birthday I was allowed to apply for my learners license. In my country, a learners license allows you to drive any car at any time so long as you have a person with a valid driving license next to you and no alcohol in your system. Now I haven’t driven cars with that much power, the most being my fathers Mercedes AMG GLS 63 with around 585 hp followed by a 2011 Sl 63 which is rwd, and I can tell you from those experiences, that the rate that high HP cars accelerate is scary. I know that kids in my country often end up in accidents because their parents give them fast first cars. The feeling of speed is addictive, you need to know your limits, your cars limits and when the right time is. Mercedes AMG gives all their customers who tick the drivers package options, a ‘free’ track day, where they teach you how to handle the car and drive it safely. So I really think other manufacturers like McLaren, who produce high HP rwd cars should provide there customers with training to ensure their safety and the safety of others.
