  1. you should wait for the glowing plugs before fire it on diesel :))

  2. High pressure valve. Timing belt must come out to get at it.

  3. Hey , I'm having the exact problem , Sometimes it will take over 6 cranks. Have you figured this problem out?

  4. Thomas, it ended up just being a bad battery.  I didn't originally consider this because the battery was only 1 year old.  Still happens occasionally but never like in the video.

  5. thanks rick , i'll look into a new one.

  6. Are you still having this issue? I had this exact problem last year, the dealer changed the starter (even though it seemed good) and everything was ok for a year. It took them a long time to figure this out. The trouble is happening again now though and the part is out of warranty #fml

  7. Spoke to a VW Mechanic outside the shop, friend of a friend, if you will. He said he was able to fix a problem like this by replacing the Lift Pump. That's the low pressure fuel pump in the fuel tank. It's $170 part and it takes about an hour to change. I will be trying this on my Jetta since I having the same problem, even with a new battery installed. Any updates on your end?

  8. It's easy fix, will take 2h of your time! Take the starter motor off, an take it to pieces, clean and but more crease use all purpose.
I did mine on dining table and I used 29 $ kmart tool kit 😀

  9. I have the same problem. What is the real cause? Or fix? Im sure is not the battery… is Not starter….

    HELP !
