You cheater! An investigative case study into car manufacturing giant Volkswagon’s “diesel dupe” of 2015. Under pressure to sell more diesel cars in the United States, the EPA discovered that Volkswagen cars had been rigged with software that detected when the car was being tested, and made results appear more favorable. It was later discovered that cars rigged with the “defect device” were found not just in the U.S., but worldwide.
