I just painted my supra a similar green
Cool color.
What is the shelf life on the 2K Clear? Had one I ordered in and apparently the hardener had like a 2 week shelf life. Problem was, it took about 10 days to get to me.
Looks perfect
Makes me want to rebuild the NSX for myself and not a gift this time.
You could also use a dehydrator to cut that drying time lol 8 hrs or
9 tops to dry that clear in safely
Manner .
Well hello there Tom @ 9:45 :p
De lak lijkt te doen wat mij met de karmann gebeurde……. bubbels…. maar dat trok ook weg….. zal wel ff schrikken geweest zijn
Stunning work mate looks great
Fantastic work
Nice video. what did you make you air brush stand out of?
Thanks for you videos
I'm currently working on the same kit, but went with a metallic blue/black. I'm digging the colour contrast with your choice though
Are your colors aqua or synthetic?
I have always went after it with a thick coat of clear works better Dior me i gibberish it 3 wet coats then stop
Gorgeous as always Tom. I've never understood the mist coat technique as every time I've tried it, i've had to sand out orange peel after. Laying down a mist coat just seems to make a rough base that every other coat builds on and they all look rough after that to me. Then again I don't have a compressor and have to use Tamiya rattle cans so maybe that has something to do with it. My best results have been to lay down a smooth coat on every coat.
That green looks fantastic.
Those kit Honda logos were a pain in the a**. i was severely disappointed to find that (after a good 30 min. of screwing with them) they stickers, and the backing was not meant to be separated! I honestly expected more from tamiya (like the 'metal with adhesive' pieces they used on the LaFerrari).
Do you cover your models after spraying the clear? How do you keep dust from getting on the model while it dries?
Are you going to make more hyper/Supercar builds in the near future
Damn….that's some wet wet rite there…nice job
I am just starting to receive my orders for zero paints. I've been using Gravity paints lately with a great deal of success. Right now I have one question concerning Zero paints. What is the difference between Gloss black and Jet black? I had hoped that if you were not sure, that you could steer me in the right direction so I can get the answers to these type of questions. That way I wouldn't have to bother you. Thx, Mac
It's always scary trying new methods…looks awesome!!
You have to try paint and assembly a motorcycle 1/12. Please!!!!!!
Normaly decals dont like that thick of clear of the first coat
Good day, who produces, a sheet of carbon?
good paint job. Regards my friend
Hi! Awesome job! What is your clear ratio please?
I am a young boy who builds model cars with glue and spray cans from lowes. im planning on moving to airbrush to make it look better. any tips or opinions would be great!
