Instructions unclear, got dick stuck in blender
My lights are not working the way urs are — in the render i see just black and even if i move closer i see nohing.
Nothing about the pillars is working for me. I have redone the coloring at least 5 times and it never looks like his does in the video. Either the color covers the entire pillar or it only stays at the top. If it appears at the bottom like it is supposed to it only appears on half of the pillar and has random slices and breaks in it. Why is this happening and what do I do?
My computer resolution went down after maya crashed, and I don’t know how to fix it, I tried going in the settings but it won’t let me go above 1280×1024

awesome tut so far, but i'm having a problem at 21 minutes in. it says to go to mesh display and click on reverse and your box turns a brownish color. mine doesn't. and when i click on display backface culling, nothing at all happens. i'm using 2018 so i'm sure some things are a little different. the reverse button has an options button along with it, but i have no idea what to do (if anything) to get the box to turn that brownish color. any help with this? thanks!

I have a doubt: in 1:06:35 when show others render preview, in my Maya does not have the Legacy default, only the 2.0 viewport.
Is this normal?

best tutorial on youtube, i was struggling with maya but this tutorial made it simple, easy to follow along and cut out the chit chat and er's to a minimum. professional af.

In the input section i don't have the radius height and stuff, it's just a blank box.

For some reason when I attempt to use duplicate special the pillars will just duplicate and be overlapping instead of spacing out. When I undo it says undo "if" before undoing duplicate special?????
