Fleet Depot Olympic Park — May 18th 2012 — Volunteer Driver Training
During the London 2012 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games the LOCOG Transport Department served a client group of approx 80,000 personnel including Athletes, International Dignitaries, Technical Officials, Media, Marketing partners and Sponsors.
The transport network comprised of approx 2,000 buses and 4,000 BMW’s. The car fleet was driven by approx 5,000 London 2012 Games Maker volunteers.
Teamwork — 250 Volunteer Drivers assigned to their Instructors and placed
within 84 BMWs in 25 minutes.
This objective had taken 1hr 30 mins only a matter of weeks earlier when it was first attempted.
Pre — games the Olympic Park was open to the general public and their cars.
Furthermore the majority of LOCOG Fleet Staff involved had only been working together for less than a month.
It is a perfect example of the teamwork, resourcefulness and drive to meet and exceed objectives that was Fleet Depot Olympic Park.

Nice one Zak!
Amazing!!
I was one of the many hundreds of FDO drivers. Everyone who ran the training days I went to, and managed the depot in Games time, did absolutely cracking work. Was really impressed!
