You should have mentioned the average fuel economy of the R2.8L vs the original diesel and LS engines. Thus, not only more hp compared to the original Land Rover engine, but also much better fuel economy than either the original or LS along with longer life of the engine. More than what's needed for a daily driver and adequate for any off roading adventures (though one probably wouldn't take this immaculate vehicle off road).
Any engine is better than land rover original ones.heck even kubota water pump engine runs better.way more reliable.
