That drying technique after the wash is questionable… would definetly use a microfiber cloth instead.
Why don't you take off the front splitter of your Lotus (lower part), like Tim did on his Aston GT8 ? After all it's just an add-on for track days… and your everyday cruising will be much more relaxed.

As a Detailer that water blade makes me cringe, get a damp microfiber towel and some compressed air and do it correctly. A car worth that much needs to be treated much better. Using ppf and thinking that it's okay to use a water blade is like saying its okay to get shot while you're wearing a bullet resistant jacket, it might not kill you but it would be better if it didn't happen.
Can't believe you had that much white gunk built up in only a week. Congrats!
