  1. welcome to #lifeontheroad things happen & you can't always foresee. good luck on the ignition!

  2. Have you ever came to Huntington,West Virginia?

  3. If you have GPS device, you get a gpx file and you can upload this file to for example to strava or put a downloadlink in the description.

  4. tough times don't last, tough people do. ; )

  5. disconnect the battery, and hope it starts. if it does, just get a quick connect battery terminal. 🙂 what can I say? I'm cheap.

  6. With respect to GPS co-ordinates: Take a still picture with a GPS augmented camera or smart phone and look at the meta-data in the properties. You should find the longitude and latitude of the picture location as well as the elevation.

  7. Hey Jax, take a look at the GeoSpike app.

  8. im counting down the days until I head west.

  9. Come on Jax! Enough of the hot springs! At the speed you are going, you won't make it to Alaska before the snow starts coming down!!!!

  10. I just replaced a broken 'Key Cylinder' on my van the other day! It's my 3rd one in 6 years. It's constant use during travel, and charging devices, makes it a typically weak mechanical link. There's a screwdriver tool kit you can buy at O'Reilly/AutoZone/Pepboy's that loosens all the screws holding the the 'Ignition Switch' on the steering column. You have to remove the plastic covers on the steering column, first. Then remove the screws holding the ignition switch on the column. Then you pull off the two electric wire harness's attached to the ignition switch. The key cylinder is held in place inside the ignition switch by another screw, usually. Loosen that screw, pull the key out of the cylinder, slide the cylinder out of the ignition switch and look for damage at the bottom of the key cylinder. A long bent spring on the ignition switch, inside the empty ignition switch hole, is pushed up against the bottom of the key cylinder. Often, the spring breaks off a section of the bottom metal lip of the cylinder, and you need to replace the key cylinder. It comes with a new set of keys, and you end up with one set for the ignition, and the originals for unlocking the doors. The Ignition Switch itself also can break as it's internal parts are often just plastic and small springs which aren't lubricated and can break after years of use. The good news is, you can hotwire the bus with the ignition switch hanging off the steering column (wire harness's and key cylindner in). So the next time a Key Cylinder breaks after two years or so, you can drive the bus to the closest Auto parts shop and avoid being stranded. Or, buy an extra key cylindner and ignition switch and replace the old ones on the spot when they break.

  11. Nice scenery it's a bit like New Zealand.

  12. Hey Jax, when you start heading east, and you need a place to park Dan the Adventure Bus, I have a spot here in New Hampshire if you're interested.

  13. Hey, you got time for a meetup in Washington? For coordinates you can take an awesome picture with GPS enabled on your smartphone. at the spot. Coordinates will be in the details.

  14. Happy to have met you at this hot spring: Trail Creek outside of Cascade. Though when I met you the snow had gone from the parking lot…was still along the side of the road on the trip up. Hope your drive up to Lewiston and beyond was without incident.

  15. ainttt nobody got time for thattttt haha

  16. Screenshot Google Maps to help you remember your route. Add captions.

  17. What you need with your video camera is a stabilizer hand grip,so that your videos aren,t as choppy.

  18. Use a dedicated SatNav Device for better coverage and cheaper than constantly using your Mobile Phone.

  19. Could you please list your camera equipment in the descriptions of each video ? Thanks. ✌

  20. you just use your phones gps coordinates in the compass app then google a converter to convert it to decimal. Pretty easy.

  21. Good morning Canada Mississauga your keep BUS so sweet I love you logs video YOUTUBE good happy Wednesday May 31 2017

  22. South Africa………………………..now that's a road trip.

  23. I'm just wondering if your friend understands what's going on in South Africa?
