Did this today. It was nearly impossible to get the filter cap back on…

What!? A real nightmare to change oil filter and to remove drain plug.. audi engineers did this awful!
oh shit my new 05 was serviced by jiffy lube. lmao. can you imagine new guy looking for holes. lol.
Had my A8 serviced at the dealer till about 70,000 miles. I decided to do the next oil change. The filter was never changed by the dealer in all that time. A heat shield needs to be moved and creases after. It was never moved, and the oil filter was degraded when i fished it out. Guess they can't be bothered. Do it yourself!
Did someone know what is the name or number of the oil filter ?
friend, please tell me, does the plastic tube inside the oil filter housing have to stand motionless inside, or is it normal that it is hanging out there?
