We get up close with the new VW Jetta and GLI in-studio to see what’s new.
Stepping inside the familiar cabin, the normal Jetta gets an eight-inch digital instrument cluster as standard equipment whereas the spicy GLI bumps the size to 10 inches. More significant changes have occurred underneath the hood where the base Jetta has finally dropped the 1.4-liter engine in favor of a slightly larger 1.5-liter unit shared with the Taos. Available with a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic, the turbocharged four-pot mill runs on the Miller cycle and has been available in Europe since 2018. In the case of the Jetta, it brings an output boost of 11 hp to a Taos-matching 158 hp while torque soldiers on at 184 pound-feet (250 Newton-meters).

Hated that gear knob. Put some buttons instead of it. Like mercedes
у меня в клипе эта тачка, по кайфу, экономичная и красивая
hmm..can you say turbo lag..same engine from the new taos..wow
Cars are becoming more and more boring. Car looks like the new Honda Civic. Or the Honda Civic tool from the Jetta and used that to inspire their new car. Idk.
lol they barely redesigned this shit. Looks almost exactly the same as the previous generation. Volkswagen is getting lazy.
Doesn’t look like a facelift. It looks more like a new generation Jetta.
I'm a fan of VW, but all I can say is BOOOO!!! Looks like a big polo. The design is ugly
that front bumper is trash
When looking at this vehicle it seems like they basically put the front end of a Passat on to the body of a jetta and called it an update.
My hands are too big to simply change the marker lights… No thanks!
Come to poland.
Awesome video
This is such a lame refresh for a car that needed a complete front and rear rework. Funny, as a VW enthusiast, this was published a month ago and I didn't know about it until I searched "2022 Volkswagen Jetta" — and even then I wasn't sure if there was a refresh.
I don't get why haven't they haven't switched to a wheel shaped gear or some other kind of replacement to that cheap feeling stick they have.
It seems as the years go on vw’s quality is dropping as well as design. Smh
Looks great! I’m in a VW Tiguan SE, would consider a sedan, if ground clearance would be a bit higher 🙂
More GLI contentttttttt
Looking forward to tuning up a 1.5t opposed to the 1.4t.
Same family, damn near similar engine but it'll be more fun I'm sure.
Interior and exterior looks great ! The new GLI/GTI gauges and buttons though…. Yikes.
