  1. Maybe you have the 'Auto' mode on with the temp all the way down to 60F and it wants the AC every time… otherwise, I don't know what the issue is. Maybe, like with the Sport button, there is a way to program it to come on every time the car starts, and that's been set somehow.

  2. thanks for the vid. A few suggestions … for a car enthusiast to say 'I'm still figuring out the stick shift' … you might want to keep that one to yourself, lol. 😛 Also, BMWs are all either rear wheel drive or, in some cases, all-wheel drive. Also if you're gonna do a review of a performance car you HAVE TO GO DRIVE IT … that's the entire point 😛

  3. Thanks for the comment, but let me clear some things up. I was 16 years old at the time. This is my first car. I had no license.

Over two years later now, I've mastered the three godly pedals, and driven this car over 25,000 miles. And I believe that BMW is making, or planing to make, some FWD cars. Maybe only for the Euro 1 series, but still. I do understand that all are RWD/x-Drive models right now though.

I didn't have a license at the time, so I couldn't go drive it.

  4. This is a great first time. And a terrible first car. On one hand, it's a well-built, beautiful, BMW sports-sedan. On the other, it's a 6spd, lower-production german performance car. It's expensive to keep up. I'll recommend it all day, but keeping this car up is not like maintaining a Civic. Check out @E39Source, it's a channel I made all about these cars. You can make videos on it about your car if you like… anybody is welcome!

  5. What do you mean when you say "This is a great first time car"… It is obviously going to be nicer that your average first car, but do you think I will be able to handle it? like is it the kind of car where you are always tempted to speed just because of its speed, or is the kind of car where you can actually take it easy in?

  6. Well, that totally comes down to your personality. If you're responsible, then you'll be fine. If not, you're going to kill yourself or someone else. This is a fast car. Contrary to popular beliefe, a car can be driven fast responsibly, at the right time and at the right place. Just be responsible with it, and you'll be just fine.

  7. He's very right, on the responsibility, I had an E39 528i as my first and I got myself into trouble with it (check out my page) but my advise is don't learn to drift in the e39 (its not the easiest car to learn to catch, and on the straits, make sure it's safe and clear before you get on it. If you want to get it sideways, take it to and abandoned lot. and off the street, its not forgiving. Just some tips! 🙂 enjoy your E39!

  8. i was put off by the expensive products by bimmernav and bavaudio, but i just found a product made by gromaudio. it's a lot cheaper and has aux / bluetooth options for iphone or android/smartphones. they sell their units on ebay or direct from their site for ~$130 plus $50 if you want to add bluetooth. that's way cheaper than what bimmernav was quoting me ($700+ to convert my 540i with DSP. ouch! ) if i get the grom i'll let you know how it performs.

  9. Don't even want to know what the insurance is for one of these if you're in your low 20's. Must be breaking bank at some point. But, you must live a little before you start buying those silly Toyota's right? Love the car. Always been a fan of the M5s.

  10. Обожаю эту рубрику "Уебан на Мэрсе!! ахаха .. интересно вот он когда ни будь отвянет, не..  Нравится наверное на себя в ютубе смотреть ))
