The Mercedes-Benz E300 is all new for 2017, and it shows. The technology in the car stands out to such a degree that it tends to dominate recent conversations about midsize luxury cars. From the obvious – the all-digital sweep of the instrument cluster into the infotainment screen – to subtler bits like the damn-useful, touch-capacitive thumb switches on the steering wheel, this E oozes techy appeal.

I got to drive an E300 as a loaner from the Merc dealer that I bought my preowned car from… Incredibly capable, comfortable, elegant car. It truly wont tear your face off in acceleration but that's not the point. Cruising along at 85 mph the car feels like a magic carpet that is there to coddle you all along the way. If you're able, get one.
Driving a 2014 E350, which I love, they made the new model more conservative imho, especially the rear end. Is there such a thing as an interior being too elegant and stately? Looking at the 5 series…. hmmmm.
13 cubic feet is so small. Hell then what's the C-class or the CLA. That's almost ridiculous.
What color is this, is it cavasite blue ?
Such an ugly exterior. So overpriced. Suspect reliability at best. Way underpowered for a luxury car. I dont get it but then again I'm poor.
What is wrong with MB tex. It still looks, feels and smells like leather plus animals wouldn't have been abused to get it. Also it ages better.
I don't understand why you Americans complain about power in luxury sedans. They are meant for luxury. Power merely needs to be adequate. In other markets we get an E200 which has about 180 hp and even that is more than enough. Why do you need more? Being a German car it puts the power it has down better than any brand from anywhere else.

I used to own a 2013 and am really disappointed with the looks of the new one. The old car had alot of presence on the road, especially in black. This is one is nearly in distinguishable from a C class. Looks smaller too. Bummer.

It is a fine car, no doubt about it. But I still love my old W211 E320 Avantgarde, it's still the best looking E class ever, and the interior is classic and not so super modern, which I still love. I guess I'll drive it until it dies, which will last still a long time to come… XD

I have a 2017 E 300 and I love everything about this car it is pure luxury with every accessory we could get. I also have a 2015 C 300 that I use to do my running around in. The C 300 is nice but it cant touch the E 300s luxury. And I don't need an AMG because I don't plan on racing anyone, I enjoy cruising in luxury.
I truly love this car! I just got a white one last month and is totally worth the money I’m paying for it. I don’t regret it, after this car I always will get a Benz

I'm looking to purchase a E 300. The dealerships near do not have the 2017 right now keeps trying to get me to get the E 350. IS there anything about the E300 I need to know?
So far I have happily only driven the Lexus . 19 years without any problems . Has only been in the shop for oil changes . The quality is unbelievable and the reliability without comparison ! BUT , OMG what have they done to the styling .Ugly is its name . As a woman I can not accept the front grill ! Fine for a macho man but not for me !Went to the Mercedes Dealership-the first time in my life .Fell in love with the E300 .The seats are so comfortable and did my poor back good . The seat embraces your back and the sides of your upper body . But unfortunately I was unable to get the color combination for the interior , that I wanted ! I will wait for the next model year !

I think this is a very good option, enough luxury and power , and still to this day —— reasonable cost , although I would go for the V 6 version. Great review !

Nice car, but I would get the e350 2016 and below- V6 non- turbo, that turbo will go out eventually in the V4 and V6 in the 2017 and up!
