Today on Fireside Traveler:
We hook up and tow the T@B camper trailer with our Ford Escape. We find out what needs to be corrected and show how we are going to do that with modification to the hitch.

The Fireside Story:
We have officially found our new Camper / Teardrop. It is a 2014 Pleasant Valley / Little Guy/ Nucamp T@B CS-S in Blue and Gray.
Previously: Our RV / Motorhome sold and was picked up by the new owners. We watch it drive away. (which is a very odd feeling). We sit down and discuss what we learned from full — time RVing for a year. We also discuss what’s next for us and what new type of RV we will be choosing.
Fireside Traveler:
Two now part-time travelers (Mara and David) set out to see another side of life in our 36-foot motorhome which pulls our little red smart car. We just sold this RV and are now in the market for something smaller and more nimble. hmmm, what to choose? We did it! We chose a Nucamp/ Little guy/ Pleasant Valley T@B / TAB trailer CS_S Model Teardrop trailer pulled by our Ford Escape 4wd EcoBoost.

i have a 2017 ford escape so this is very timely..thanks. (I am thinking about getting a tab max s) Did you have to mod anything other than what you described, like firstly, is your tow a factory package with the 4 pin that it comes with? If so, did you have to go 4 to 7 pin? What about the brake? Thanks.
Thank you for valuable info on hitch . I appreciate all your vidios so informative. Happy, safe trails.
Totally agree on the things you bought for Tab. Agree all are needed. And yes the door shade is a must and so cute.
Have you guys thought about a weight distribution hitch? I have been looking at them to help balance the weight between the tow vehicle axles and T@B.
Very helpful video! Thank you.
Tow chains are typically crisscrossed under the towbar and then attached to the rear receiver hitch. If the tow hitch fails crisscross chains will support the weight of the tow bar better. That’s why they seem longer than necessary if you put them on the staight.
The Tab should be light enough to move by a human on flat ground. Next time try it to pull it with your hands to hitch it.
You might consider air shocks on the rear and that would eleviate the problem as well ….it worked in my circumstance anyway .
I realize that you have sold your trailer, but I was just wondering if you had to put a trailer brake controller on your vehicle to accomodate the trailer brakes on the trailer? Thanks!
