A Hummer and a BMW sedan, along with drugs and cash, have been seized by police from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch as part of an ongoing investigation into alleged money laundering and drug trafficking.
Police arrested and charged two people from Adelaide’s southern suburbs — a 48-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman — with money laundering and trafficking a commercial quantity of drugs.
Police including officers from Serious and Organised Crime Branch, STAR Group, Dog Operations, Sturt and South Coast searched of two suburban properties on Wednesday.
They seized drugs (300g of methamphetamine), cash ($120,000) and four vehicles — a Hummer, a BMW sedan, a Ford Territory and a Volkswagen Tiguan — along with chemicals, cutting agents and drug paraphernalia.
Both accused appeared in the Christies Beach Magistrates Court yesterday and were remanded in custody while home detention reports are prepared. Both are expected to appear in the same court again on Monday.
