  1. i appreciate the fact that you go through so many different softwares, to make sure to avoid biased reports . . . i am unhappy that you used different mobo/HDD/PSU between your test benchs . . . as for game mode and such, most people arent going to restart just to play a game, so it would have been a better idea not to use AMD's software, since most power users would avoid it anyways . . . anyhow, good review, your benchmarks are frankly better than most, just figured id drop my 2 cents . . . keep up the good work

  2. This is not a comparison. You are comparing threads with a 16 core against a 10 core? Why don't you compare the i-9 7980XE Intel against this so called beast ryzen, then give us some numbers.

  3. Hi, Question how does the diffrence of Lanes impact? The Intel 44Lanes VS Ryzen 64Lanes ??? BTW — the AMD 1900X (8Core 16 Threats with 64Lanes) VS Intel  i7-7820X (8Core 16Threats 28Lanes) would be Interesting to see… especially how it affects the amount of hardware that is useable with it (NVME etc)

  4. I’m Too lazy to see the video
    Who is the winner ?

  5. AMD just dominating Intel in multithread. Intel never saw it coming. Their overpricing has been killing the end user for years. It's about time they were taught a lesson. I hope they lose the entire server market share.

  6. WHY THE FUCK all you people review THESE cpus for GAMING? Wtf is wrong with people? People that wanna game WONT buy a fcking 45 core cpu (unless they are stupid) so instead of wasting time to review a 16 core cpu for gaming spend it on other stuff like video editing, music production etc etc. That's where these cpu's belong and that's what people that come to watch that video are searching for.

  7. I love how you had to find some really obscure random benchmarks to give the Ryzen a chance of winning anything. Even when the i9 kicked the shit out of the Ryzen for the 20th time you were still making excuses for the Ryzen claiming it was smoother…..

    Your bias is showing.

  8. DIFFUSED IN USA MADE IN CHINA !@#$%^&&* anyway NICE VIDEO bro!!!!!!!

  9. So, If you just use your gaming desktop pc for games, excel, ward , powerpoint presentations, and not for editing, you dont need any of those two?

  10. Motherfucker amd bleibt Müll fertig ihr nutten söhne. Deine Gehirn ist auch gleich null wie kann man 16 Kerne mit 10 vergleichen du noob geh sterben..

  11. i use a 57 th Xeon phi pci-ex with core i3 lol that core i9 20 lol

  12. Your liquid cooling solution is crap as well.

I run my 5930K OC'd and under full load my CPU might hit 50 degrees C.

Not to mention my video card might never reach 50 degrees C and both idle near room temperature.

Just got done watching the video and everything I said in my previous comment happened EXACTLY as I said it would. With the thread ripper out performing the intel, for blatantly obvious reasons Paul neglects to even mention.

If I could down vote this video more I would.

  13. I'm curious, isn't there a way to setup a vertual machine so it can use all the cores but report to the game only 1 core? So it takes the data coming in and spreads it across the entire chip even when the game is only designed for 1 core/thread? I'm actually supprized multi core cpu's don't have a built in way to boost proformance by switching to single core mode and taking in multiple commands and distributing them among the cores themselves.

  14. Does this support quad channel ram??

  15. Why you haven't used the same nvme card? The samsung 960 EVO is much faster.

  16. Stopped viewing when I saw how you applied paste to the CPU…

  17. I am sick of thread ripper gaming reviews. Can you guys do some 3d rendering in Unity perhaps some VR environment creation, light baking, texture baking and other 3d tasks that take lots of processing power. Lots of Video editing benchmarks which is great. But no Unity experience, no Solidworks.

  18. I have no doubt its going to be some time before games on PC leverage more than 4 cores.
Assuming console games utilise more than 4, because the console doesn't need at least one or two for its own purposes running in parallel to the game (it does), the hardware will remain the same for at least two more years. During this time the components for gaming PCs(in particular) will continue the longstanding tradition of continuous leap-frogging. That is at least one factor that will keep PC cpu core/thread leveraging at 2-4 for a few years at least.

That said, I can see those who game+stream+encode/edit video benefiting from all those cores/thread.

Imagine playing a game, having it streaming to your fans/followers, at the sametime encoding a highlight 'reel' in the background. And maybe even help fight cancer also.

  19. It is a shame when people say they do a test saying that they have the same things inside of a PC when they dont!!! compare the ssd and other things and it is not accurate . Really?!?!?!? how can you guys lie so much?!?!?!?

  20. Jee man! talk a little slower! you just just ches onto your own wods!

  21. labeling didnt match up with 3dmarks labels so wasnt sure i was looking at the right numbers for comparison.

  22. I doubt the reason why the Blender benchmark was in the i9's favour is because Blender cannot use all those cores, it's due to higher clock speed on the i9 and the scene preparation before actual render. The duration of the benchmark is too short so I would include a much longer benchmark that takes several minutes to complete.

  23. Apparently the be DX12 version of Wolfenstein in a Threadripper CPU kills all Intel chips. Next year say bye bye to the blue team.

  24. AMD GPU dude left to Team Blue..oops !

  25. so that threadripper are basically 2 processors in "combo".. tipical of amd, see furyx, they found smart solution, yes, but not really advancing in technology imho, and b4 u call me intel fanboy, i'm a very amd supporter, i buy amd since the 90's, and amd only.

  26. I thought my I7 7700 is Overkill.. but now I feel bad for my CPU
    4 Cores vs 16 Cores / 8 Threads vs 32 Threads

Yeah.. It's gonna be a few decades before Intel get that numbers to mainstream lol

  27. Hello my friends! i really need some help here! first im going to star by telling what i build and what was my system before…
    New Build:
1950X + Asus Prime Motheboard / Aorus Motherboard ( yes i have two ) + 64GB DDr4 corsair vengeance led 3000mhx + 1080Ty Evga Hybryd + 960 Evo on SSD OS + 960 Evo on edit SSD + PSU Corsair 850W RM850i and of course many HDDS with raw footage.
    my last sistem
    i7 6850k with 64gb ddr4 corsair vengeance led 3000mhz, x99 deluxe ii and 980ti

    now back to the problem…
my system works PERFECTLY… games, everything, the problem starts with premiere… and here is the tricky part and i think no one tested it already, non of the youtube reviewers and my problem is running me CRAZY and im about to jump to I9 or even Ryzen 7 1700x…. here is the problem…
when i start a Project from ZERO… my pc works perfectly, i edit with no issues, no lags, no nothing! everythings is crazy fast, export times, etc…
( i have a video company and ive got many editors ) they all edit on i7 machines and premiere pro cc….
the big problem comes when i try to review and export footage from my editors, not one,,, but all of them
when i load the projects, playback on timeline is glitch, with hickups, scrubbing is crazy slow, and playback even on 1/4 is jumping and with hickups i dont know if u can understand it…
there are no drop frames, but there are "pauses" while playing timeline and im skipping frames, its driving me nuts…. now here is one interesting thing before you start saying what to do… ive been like this for OVER A MONTH
i even sold a 1950x and aorus motherboard thinking that that was the problem but no, even with a new 1950x and asus motherboard i have same issue…
i turned off HPET … problem not solved…
overclockin? problem not solved… latest driver on everything… not solved, erased the asus AI 3 and all the asus motherboard utilityes… not solved…
change ram frecuency,,, not solved… installed a 980ti just to try… not solved! i think its a 100% problem between software and thread ripper… and here is why i think that
when i open those projects on my alienware laptop with i7… everything works as expected
when i open those projects on my wifes i7 7700k, everything works perfectly
and when i open on a ryzen 7 1700x that i built for a friend!!! EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY! its just with my threadripper build that i have this issue
and its not that its now working great on premiere… its with projects done in other computers.! so… is it a glitch from premiere? premiere and amd? premiere and ryzen? im about to bomb this case because im nuts, and maybe build an i9 ! i dont know! please if anyone knows how to solve this, i need help! im having the scores on cinebench, PPBM, 3dmax etc etc bla bla that everyone is having! my system is working great! but with those premiere projects
and i cant find any other complaining about this in any forum, youtube, etc, i know that ive got a special scenario here, not everyone works in premiere opening other peoples edit,
most of the youtubers and reviewers,,, tested the premiere export time and rendering time and playback time with projects of their own.! once again, i dont have issues with that!

please some one help me or im going to jump of a bridge tomorrow! LOL
i really want to stick on 1950x! i see i9 with the heat problems, motherboards that doesnt convince me and thats why im stil struggling with this platform
my other way of solving it would be to downgrade to ryzen 7 1700x and use that! but i dont want to! i want to use my threadripper

if you didnt read my post from the beggining, dont tell me i need to use proxies, its not a proxie thing.
my laptop plays back the project with no issue, my old x79 and x99 platform could playback this kind of projects like butter

    PLEASE HELP

  28. When people still use Benchmarks, and think they matter compared to real world testing… 😛

  29. what processor will be best for DAW?

  30. 2:52 ..it's not at all the same.. not using same type of SSD. the Samsung 960 pro nvme used on AMD is faster than Toshiba RD400 NVME used on intel.

  31. All that raw power just for Gaming which these processors are not really meant to be made for. I am still gaming on a i7 2600k and a GTX 570 with 16GB of ram running on a Intel SSD.

  32. Hi, I recently want to buy a pc with the amd threadripper 1950x. I will use my pc to do the programming and things like this. Do you think the ripper is a better choice for me or the 8700k is a better one for me?

  33. Paul how mach you will charge us, if we order this computer..? (Threadripper 1950X)
    Thank you

  34. today… Threadripper 1950x $799.99 Intel Core i9-7900X $1,111.20 so ya bang for the buck again hands down AMD

  35. I GOT SOME QUESTIONS. YOU SAID ON GAMING LIKE GTA V (GOD I WANT CITY OF HEROES SO BADLY) YOU SAID YOUR NOT GOING TO USE ALL THE CORES ON 1950X THAT IS 16 CORE AND 32 THREADS THERE IS TWO MORE CPUS 1920X 12 CORE AND 24 THREADS 3.5GHZ THAT IS ABOUT THE MID RANGE PRICE NOW THE NEXT ONE 1900X 8 CORES 16 THREADS 3.8GHZ WITH THE LOWEST PRICE. THE MORE CORE SLOWER SPEED FEWER CORES FASTER CLOCK SPEED. THEN ON THE OTHER SIDE MORE CORE MORE THREADS AND LEAST CORES LESS THREADS. GOT A TEST FOR THAT?
