Your videos really pushed me over the edge in my decision to get my 01. I absolutely love it! I have a poster in my garage that describes it perfectly "Like have your own portable amusement park". Its even more applicable now as I just finished installing K16gs 3.5 Markski intercoolers, larger injectors,diverter valves and new tune. Scary fast!
I just finished the install so haven't really got to explore the limits. But after a few runs my initial reaction is holy crap this thing is fast!The power seems to come on sooner and hit a lot harder Getting on to a freeway on ramp the revs climbed so fast I really had to pay attention to the tach for fear of over reving. By the end of the on ramp I looked down and was doing 120 mph!
Markski of 911 Tuning knows these cars (his car holds the 60-130 record for 911tt on stock ecu). I found his help during the installation the best customer experience I've ever had. He won't sell you stuff you don't need just the things that transform you car into a beast.
I agree with you! I'm coming on a year of ownership. So far I've upgraded diverted valves and f hose, added a Cobb tuning accessport, and a Ebwerks exhaust. Car is very fast and sounds mean. My only issues is the leather is wrinkling up on dashboard and my drivers seat heater doesn't work.
I'm 15 years old (turning 16 in October). About three months ago I got a 2003 Porsche 911 turbo (6 speed) as my first car. It has always been my dads dream car and instead of buying it for himself he selflessly bought it for me. I love your videos and enjoy learning more and more about my car. Although I have only driven it about 200 miles (with my dad) I can't wait to get my license in a few months and really test it out!
996tt isnt a first gen w/c car. the mezger motor is specific to the turbo different from the n/a motor and considered 2nd gen. if you have stock turbos and wait until 4k rpm to get in the boost you have tune or boost leak issues. k16 turbos hit at 3k and k24 hit at 3500.
Is the 2.5 inch speedtech "quiet" exhaust good sounding? Is it loud despite being the quiet version? I dont know if you have heard the 3.0 inch loud version of the exhaust, but do you think there would be a big difference between that and the quiet 2.5inch version?
