The compressor is a central part of the A/C loop. It is fixed to the engine block and belt-driven. It allows the circulation of the fluid in the A/C loop, with the compression of the refrigerant fluid. Its main components are a release pulley, a shaft, a discharge port, a piston, a suction port, a shell and an ECV connector.
The comrpessor needs to be replaced:
• after a crash
• if it has ceased
