The CTR1 has to be my favourite car of all time!
Was this really a race? or exhibition? It looks like everyone on the track were just doing laps with the exception of this car which was overtaking everyone. From the racing lines taken by the other cars, as well as the tach revs of this car, it seems this as not at race pace.
You're right kameraguy. This video is not taken during the race but during the qualifying practice. Thus, and contrary to what one might think, the other cars give the best they can in those laps. You realize this when you watch the lap when the ruf does its cooling lap.Then it's funny to see the difference. But i cut this part from the film editing..sorry. next time i wont remove it 🙂
The only way to remotely get to enjoy this special vehicle is in Forza. The divert in thus video is epic. I'm truly astound at is immense performance. I got a kidney for a ride along…cheers

Can't remember how many CTR Yellowbirds RUF actually built now, think it was around thirty. But didn't all of them have big vents above the rear wheel? This one doesn't ??? So maybe this isn't one of the original RUF built Yellowbird's ?

those are the sweetest turbo noises ever, it sounds like the car is sad to come off boost
I miss my aunt and uncles 2 930 RUF CTR's. definitely the pinnacle of performance in my dreams. The 2017 car looks to live up to it. Btw, my uncles cabriolet yellow bird didn't make a high pitched squeal off boost. It was like the most amazing subwoofer low end explosion. It was modified by RUF in New Jersey after bought from RUF in Germany. His was the faster one making around 650 rwhp before another performance shop from Arizona blew the motor in the mid 90's when they were going for 1,000 rwhp.
That goofy turbo squeel is not factory.
