Lol, thanks
Same thing happened to mine this morning. I couldn't even make it up the hill to get out of my neighborhood — had to have it towed. I have a 2002 Carbon Black SMG E46 M3 with 39K Miles. I will let you know what their findings are when the mechanic gets to look over the car.
Do you remember what your issue was with yours?
It was just a coil pack bro. Like a $25 part. I hope you had roadside and didn't have to pay for a tow.
Just had it serviced today. Bill came to $790. Had to have 6 new updated coils put in and the injectors. All of the parts were the original 10 year old outdated parts. Car runs better than the day I bought it now. My motor was being robbed of so much power.
That's awesome! Price seems kinda high though. Couldn't the injectors just be cleaned?
It was a coil pack that went bad. Really easy fix
I have a 330ci and it started sputtering. How would I know if its the coil packs
Thanks
Pull off the cover and while the car is running disconnect each coil, one at a time, and when you get to the one that doesn't drop your RPM, that is the bad one. Hope that helps.
Which coil pack did you end up getting? My car started doing this and stalling out.. goes away then comes back again after a while of driving. Thanks.
