We love it when Audi’s come in for review, almost always we don’t want to see them leave when their week is done. With the latest A4 from Audi, something funny happened. When compared to it’s competition of Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3-Series, Jaguar XF, and Lexus IS, it becomes a value equation!
So, just how good is the latest Audi A4? that is what we find out on this episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive.

I own this car and get along fine with the "shifter" (which is actually a joystick and that's how I regard it). It's a mental thing. The problem derives from thinking of this car as having an automatic transmission when it doesn't. It's a 7-speed manual transmission that shifts for you automatically using a clutch. So, just like any car with a manual transmission, when you bring it to a stop you need to engage the emergency brake before shutting off the car. When you've owned cars with manual transmissions and you think of this car as having a manual transmission, engaging the emergency brake is an automatic impulse. There's zero impulse to shove the "shifter" forward past Reverse into Park.
this car with the sline package, interior lighting and google earth maps is so futuristic especially at night
I like your comments on the Virtual Cockpit..I feel the same and was wondering if others doing reviews after using it would hav similar comments.
For $2600 to get it plus the 8.3" vs the normal standard gauges with the just as nice new mini screen between them and the slight smaller 7.6" center screen, you are paying a premium for a novelty that will most likely wear off.
No one seems to know the longevity of the VC and the cost to repair. Heard upwards of $2000.
For value this car is silly. I cancelled my order of 3.0tdi 218. Came to £44k with options and for an a4 that's just ridiculous. Worth it if you get a decent one for £25 but then it never had any of the toys you want
Great review!
