Why did he keep having to hit the steering wheel? Is there a button up there?
Nice inside shot of the race. Good acceleration how did you finish.
I so want to electrify my 1999 jag XJ8 and do some time trial type races and some drags just to prove a point to the fossil fuel nuts in my circle
Nice work, you guys need to add a throttle indicator (set of LED 5+ lights maybe) on the dash for those watching the video. It's soo quiet I kept thinking "when is he going to give it the beans?"
Was there a reason he kept lifting off near the crest of the hill towards the hairpin (first real corner)?
I think he was hitting the horn.
Sorry for the criticism, but the driver steers like an old lady. Why does he grab the wheel like that (check at 1:32 or basically on every left hander)? Someone should teach him basics because while doing things in a bad way he will develop really bad set habits that will be difficult correct. Great project though.
I'll bet I know what's going on, he has no power steering and its the stock steering ratio not a racing steering ratio, he is having to steer with all the leverage he can get. Where a race car would have about one quarter turn to make a curve he is having the go around a bunch and hang on cause of no power steering. Just guessing after watching a couple times.
