Believe it or not, this is the first Cadillac ATS that we’ve driven, so might as well start off with the V series!. The ATS-V is aimed squarely at the BMW M3 and M4 Series, Mercedes C63 AMG , Audi RS4 and the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrofolio. Does this American performance sedan have the chops to go head to head with Europes best?

Wow! You really didn't do your homework on the car. Let me help you out. 1) Dave Leone (Chief Engineer) & his guys did not designe the 8sp auto with the paddle shift in mind. They designed it to shift fast in Auto Mode. By the way, the 8sp auto 0-60 & 1/4 mile times are faster than the 6sp manual.
2) Summer Tires mean just that.
3) Check out Head-2-Head edition, ATS-V vs Amg 63s. It out performed it!
But, I commend you for your comments as the test drive went on. People just need to go test drive it. But check it out on YT, especially the one where Dave go over the features of the car.

Hey I just found your channel and I like your reviews. I have a 2014 cts vsport premium. So my question is ats-v or cts vsport, if you had to choose (for a guy slightly bigger than you) ? Also you say full size adults fit in the back seat, would you be comfortable there for a 3hr trip? And thanks for mentioning how much the bose sucks
I haven't heard anyone say anything bad about this car, except the Cue touch screen. It beats its competitors in every way that matter.
First off do not option the carbon fiber package, save $5k (do aftermarket wraps or something for much cheaper). I have the coupe with the manual. Surprised when I got in and saw the paddle shifters were still there but what they do is really nice. They activate the "active rev match" which matches the engine's RPMs to the gear you are shifting to. Upshifting not sure it does much but for downshifting, especially when quickly downshifting, it makes the transition very smooth almost making it feel like an automatic's downshift.
