Another day, another crossover to review. There are so many choices in this category, Ford Escape, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Subaru Forester and many more, it often comes down to brand loyalty and personal preferences. The Mazda CX-5 is a solid choice, it doesn’t do anything poorly, on the other hand, it doesn’t stand out from the crowd either.
What other thoughts did we have? That’s what we find out on this episode of Rumblestrip.NET and Ten Minute Test Drive.

who's responsible for that funk explosion in the into?
what song/band is that?!
Great real life review from someone actually driving the vehcile — awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I read the manual!!!!
useless review….
I will agree that the "Cabin Noise" is loud. I will agree that the "Sport" Mode depends on how you drive the vehicle. You do get a "Burst" but then it throttles back indeed. I have the Mica Black GT model w/black leather seats. I love this vehicle, I don't love the price though. I think this was the better buy over the 2017. JMO. It really is a sexy looking vehicle. The attendants at the Car Wash said "That Mazda CX-5" is "Nice". I can live with that.
this guy's an idiot.. worst review ever.. the handling is insane.. extremely fun car to drive
The auto lift gate; not an issue as I can open and close it faster without an auto lift gate.. The freezing of the back lift gate closed, it would happen to any vehicle in that freezing weather. The road noise not a problem, (for the price, just about as quiet as my BMW). The gears; it will shift to a high gear to save fuel, your correct.. You can use Sport mode and it keeps the refs high 3.5K before shifting thus adding the toque for faster response speed.. If you want; something you did not mention was that you can move the gear lever in to manual mode and shift it your self on the 6 speed automatic too… thus giving you control of it and you can move throughout the gears at you rev preferences… So crushing at 35 mph you can downshift if the revs are too low for your liking.. "manual sport mode". If you like Thank you for your review..
You lost me at , "Nothing to get excited about" I bet you drive a Kia.
Auto this, auto that. No power lift gate? That's a bummer and doesn't sound lazy at all. What really surprises me is all the complaints about cabin noise. Yes, I can hear the outside world to some degree, but this is still one of the quietest vehicles I've ever had as far as cabin noise (much quieter than the 2014 CX-5 I owned, so they're working on it). As far as handling, this vehicle is a pleasure to drive. It's smooth and responsive in tight corners, and has a reasonable acceleration for it's class when speed is necessary. Rumblestrip reviewed the Grand Touring model. I drive the Touring (mid range) model. I wanted to point this out because the seats are still cloth, but of higher quality than in the Sport, and quite comfortable, and both front seats are still heated. The infotainment system is fine and relatively ergonomic. Yes, it's somewhat basic, but functional and very easy to use and access without taking your eyes off the road. The price could be lower, and I recommend buying old new stock (last year's model) to get the best deal, but I think anybody who buys a brand new Mazda CX-5 will be extremely satisfied. $20,000+ is a lot to invest, and there a lot of options. Do your own homework, and some test drives. I'm not slamming any of the competition. I'm just saying this is my 2nd CX-5 and I'm hooked.
4 minutes in and you call your viewers "jackass" and "idiots". Super professional. Worse review that I've ever seen on YouTube. I hope this isn't the only thing that you do for a living because you're awful at this.
Keep your hands on the wheel you buffoon.
