MotorTorque has tested the Range Rover Sport with the flagship 5.0-litre supercharged petrol V8 engine.
Producing 503bhp, it’s unsurprisingly quick. Completing the benchmark sprint in a flat 5 seconds with a top speed of 150mph, its Sport moniker is more valid than ever before.
Range Rover interiors desperately needed a revamp, and the newest version is a dramatic improvement for overall looks and quality. There’s also a decent amount of kit, even on entry-level versions, including an eight-inch touchscreen, heated front seats and reclining rear seats.
Ride and handling on the Range Rover Sport is a welcome improvement on its predecessor. Its quicker steering makes cornering better while body roll is largely kept in check thanks to that adjustable air suspension.
Rival Porsche Cayenne still has the edge on overall driving dynamics, but this model has narrowed the gap considerably.
