Since I was a kid, I always wanted to get into drifting, but honestly never thought it was realistically something I could get into until I saw a lot of people in YouTube and Instagram getting into it. So I’ve been patiently looking for months for a project car to start working on. Finally had one come across that’d be a cool build car to learn on. if you wanted an e46 get its fucken shitty older brother the e36 perfect for drift builds
just my opinion cut the interior cage it but have 2 bride seats for passenger tandems either make a plastic or metal dash paint the outside one color and the inside a color to compliment the outside simple coilovers angle kit body kit pull the motor go over it to make sure it's right and ready or rebuild it and maybe make some upgrades while it's out paint the engine bay remove any unnecessary parts replace glass windows with a plexyglas for safety 6 point harness welded diff some better looking wheels

Every time a YouTuber announces he's getting a drift car, it's probably a 240
Start by taking out the seats and then rip out all the old carpet and panels and dash and then put the seats back in. Dont forget to label the wires from where u took them off otherwise it will be very time consuming to figure out what goes where. TAKE PICTURES OF EVERY STEP YOU MAKE. 🙂
Sr swap it get coilovers and wheels racing seats and a hyrdo e brake and a new steering wheel another touch that you should do is suede wrap the dash because that looks sexy

Man you honestly chose a bit of a hard car to work on. At least so I hear. Nissan is the "German car of the Japanese brands." They're full of brackets and brackets. Great beginner drift car dude…all you need in it is and sr20det or just 1j swap the car because sr's are not really known to be very reliable…sr20det with stock turbos will be a great place to start learning about turbo engines…unless you wanna go v8

A ka doesnt sound nice either way, it will have that like ''ricey'' sound to it even with a good exhaust, so do a engine swap to a sr20. And that blue green ish color is called ''cobalt green''.
