While I've always had a soft spot for the Panamera and wasn't purturbed at the looks of the first gen like a lot of the critics, between it and the RS6, it's like a Butler versus an Axe Murderer in vehicular personalities.
Great review James — Thank-you. A review from an RS6 owner does provide a better perspective.

Why haven't they got 22 Karat plastic rope chains and Shell suits on ? Doesn't look very authentic. No Filofax'x and not even a Dynatac 8000 on display either in tis video about Skoda's.
RS6 all day long
My missus traded in her 2yr old RS6 and picks up a Sepang Blue RS6 Performance today. It's her daily driver and we go to our lodge in Findhorn every weekend … with 2 Siberian huskies (often pressed into the back window ala' Garfield) … I'm curious to see what the 50+ BHP will make. The 'old' RS6 was mighty, especially from 30 — 100MPH. After smoking a Fireblade in a drag I thought it was invincible — then we raced a Porsche 911 turbo S (991.2) and the Audi got its bottom well and truly spanked. They've stopped making the RS6 for now, new one seen testing at the Nurburgring in camouflage. … I predict an interior to compete with the AMG E63s (gorgeous inside) and Panamera Turbo. … I just hope they don't downsize the engine.

Can't really compare these two as the Audi is that bit older. But I would take the RS6 regardless, everytime! 🙂
RS6 for days, Porsche is fugly
Great review Jame's and interesting comparison, two fabulous motors. One criticism, I know we get this content free and you have to make a living but if the add's are as intrusive as this then perhaps they should be relevant to fellow petrolheads which would be better for your channel and the advertisers (ladies hair products and drawing lessons?)

James I drive the RS 6 performance every day and for me it takes the first position due to the £40k price difference, the sound and its masculine athletic looks, I agree it’s slightly more dated but until a new rs6 comes out I would not change it for the Porsche, having said that the Porsche is a Bonny car and that interior rocks
I cant wait for the new rs6 and just to remind everyone the porche is alot newer than the rs6 so the design elemnet might be more outdated.

I would take the Panamera because of the interior
Having driven the new Porsche Panamera Turbo to me it feels a little too stiff. Like a seat with the leather stretched to the point of ripping. I guess that's how I describe the Porsche feel. If it were me and I had to choose one or the other, I'd go with the Audi.
First time watching one of your vids. Not bad. Be interested in the RS6 Performance vs Turbo S hybrid to see the difference and also on a day to day basis does the hybrid system make any difference.
The Porsche is well worth the 40k and tbh I would buy one with about &k on the clock save myself a little money and rs6 is well out of date even there last couple coming out they haven’t changed the display etc
The new RS 6 will be a completely different animal, beautiful glass interior and loaded with tech, I think it’ll be a winner hands down when it’s launched.

I think you're right choosing the Audi. I just hope they don't make the next generation too haptic, with all the 'take your eyes off the road malarky' we seem to be getting from car makers today.
Tesla, for example, are the masters of bad driver display. It's fine controlling everything on an ipad in a car park or a lay by, but at 60-70 mph in rain, spray and with with trucks blasting by you, no thanks. I can see legislation coming in one day, to simplify driving if manufacture's don't ease up in the pursuit of economy by using cheap app based interface solutions. Give us our switches back, please.

I have the new Porsche and I test drove the rs6 and I did not buy the rs6 .the top Porsche spec would beat the rs6 in reverse and you don't look like a chav
Some great comments on this site .but do people really think a Merc is I the same league as a Porsche. The build quality is way better and Merc s are common .if you drive the new panamera you will not go back
In the US, I would definitely get the Panamera unless I could as well directly import RS6 Wagon from Audi in Germany. Freaking great video!!

But, why are you comparing a large estate car with a hatchback? The real 'step-sister' to the Porsche is the Audi RS7.
