Made a lot more progress. Now it actually displays the CPU usage!
Specs:
FreeBSD kernel module with 100ms refresh intervals
Serial port bit banging for running the motor
Coming soon:
Lights, and more dials showing more info (RAM usage, temp, etc)

THIS IS TOTALLY AWESOME. I just had to get the instrument cluster replaced under warranty on my Turbo… Wonder if the dealer still has my old one. 🙂
