Fully automatic surface inspection of painted car bodies
The reflectCONTROL system is intended for large objects such as complete vehicle body shells. Here, the optical part of the measurement system is located on the end effector of a robot. A measurement process covers an area of approximately 80cm x 60cm; the robot moves the measurement system to different positions on the object to be inspected. For example, four reflectCONTROL units are used in the cycle time for complete inspection of a vehicle body shell on an industrial production line. Placed on both sides, they perform the complete inspection within 60 seconds. Afterwards, any detected defects are marked up using special marking robots.

Vollautomatische Oberflächeninspektion von lackierten Autokarossen
Das System reflectCONTROL ist für Objekte in der Größenordnung von ganzen Automobilkarossen vorgesehen. Hier befindet sich der optische Teil des Messsystems als Sensor am Endeffektor eines Roboters. Ein Messvorgang deckt etwa eine Fläche von 80 x 60 cm ab, der Roboter bewegt das Messsystem an verschiedenen Positionen um das zu inspizierende Objekt. Beispielsweise kommen zur vollständigen Prüfung einer Automobilkarosse auf einer industriellen Fertigungsstraße in Taktzeit vier reflectCONTROL-Einheiten zur Anwendung. Beidseitig platziert erledigen sie die komplette Prüfung innerhalb von 60 Sekunden. Im Anschluss daran werden die entdeckten Defekte durch Markierroboter angezeichnet.
