We own the exact same engine 1.5 130hp. Automatic so smooth and feels up there with the VAG and BMW automatics. Re fuel economy I personally own a focus 1.5 120hp manual. All day long, the astra is 0.7l more fuel efficient versus my focus which is remarkable considering the astra is automatic. Re drivability, the astra is way more torquier lower down the rev range versus the focus. You might ask why I bought a focus….I ask myself the same question 🙂
