BMW has treated us to a slick promotional film of its new 2 Series Convertible. BMW is well-known for constantly expanding its vehicle line-up and its blooming 2 Series range is a perfect example of this.
We have already seen the 2 Series Coupe and Active Tourer models, each of them offering something a little different to the German brand’s fan base. And there is even talk of a Grand Tourer model being added to the fore. But now is the time for a Convertible. Just like its 4 Series and 6 Series Convertible siblings, the 2 Series drop top offers the driving dynamics and luxury of its hard top derivative, with the obvious addition of ‘wind in the hair’ driving.
Beneath the bonnet of the 2 Series Convertible sits a plethora of engines, including a M235i derivative producing 322bhp and completing the zero to 62mph sprint in just 5.2 seconds. This is the engine powering the car in the video above.
