We have some 24 volt equipment — so the shop bought the nice 12/24 volt Snap-on jump pack. It also gives a nice backwards polarity warning — which is no good when the newbie tech ignores the sound and set the voltage switch anyway! Fried thee batteries pretty easily…at least the repair was fast and only 1/4 the cost of the whole unit….it will start most class 8 trucks with bigger Detroits and Cummins….just not the crappy IH trucks that have to crank 10 minutes before they run on a good day! LOL
I put one of the older bulkier jumpers in my girlfriends car just Incase and she actually had to use it a week later. Came in very helpful a couple times but she keeps forgetting to charge it. I may have to pick up one of those smaller ones for her little car. I’d also like to pick up one that would turn over the duramax, Any suggestions?
Does anyone make a compact jump pack that's strong enough for cold weather jumps on a big truck(kw t800)?
I havent built up the trust, to use the memory saver adapter yet, for mine lol.
I have had two of those circuit protectors go bad on me, and I don't use my jump pack that often. I wish there was something better besides going to the category of that last one in your video
Love the video. It helped me make up my mind. I need the genius boost for the duramax.
nice vid..but when do we see the tour of the new epiq filled up???standing by!!
Nice video bud. I have had my eye on the third jump pack. Did I hear u right u can jump a dmax power stroke Cummins with it. These kind a videos are very hep full. The last jump pack I have used once was not impressed but it was not mine a tech at the car dealer I detail for gave it to me to jump a Yukon and gave me no real instructions on how to use it. Me knowing it was an expensive pack gave up kinda fast and went the old fashioned way and got jumper cables and the keys to the Yukon next to the dead one.
I love my NOCO GB40!
There's only one in my book. A "Booster Pac ES5000". Mine is 6 years old now, and will still start/crank anything. I even stopped trying to keep a battery in my MF135 Diesel Tractor. I just use the Booster Pac. It easily starts my big Cat 416 diesel backhoe, by itself (no batteries connected) on the coldest morning. And it's still only about $120 bucks…
Thanks great video I am still using the big heavy jumppacks I haven't went to the small units yet .
Good stuff brother
I have the 3 of the GB 70 have an auto repair shop and I use it quite a lot and it does have the ass
Great video! Thanks for the review!
I’m looking to get the gb70. My question is, can i leave it hooked up to the battery and leave the ignition on while working with a scanner and other diag stuff? Not for programming obviously. Thanks!
