In this video, I am installing a cold air intake system on my w204 Mercedes Benz C300.

will this work for a 2002 C240 mercedes?
Nice hot air intake
great way to soak your cold air intake with heat
You downgraded benz to shitty honda
VERY NICE — well done!!
Guys shut up it sounds AMAZING and how much hp you actually losing? Anybody dyno it? Naw yall just some clowns
Lol this ain't cold air. Your sucking in hot air. Just like putting your face next to a hot batch of fried chicken.
What size screw do you use to take apart the box ?
warm air intake
toooo close to the engine tho
Can you install it inside the tubes ? You would keep fresh air and still get the intake mod
Question can this work on a 2009 CLS 550 v8?
it’s dope and sounds clean but i’d just install an aftermarket drop filter. your sucking hot air from the engine bay.
just add a hose to your ac vent box in your cabin to your engine air box. Then you will have a true cold air intake….as long as your ac is on
"hot air intake"
I was thinking of doing this but I see no benefit
hi is it possible to install it on mercedes w204 c220?
the stock tubes imo are the most advanced technology by car engineers. i was gonna do this but then i realized it's gonna be the best bet if instead of removing the frontal tubing originally engineered… just keep it in and get a K&N filter for the inside of the filter casings. this is gonna free up a lot of air over the paper filters and be louder and keep the frontal tubing as engineered by the guys making these vehicles run so smooth to begin with.
stupid thing to do! the air filters are now in the engine bay hot air coming in bad for power and fuel ecomony
Waste of money. This car already has a cold air intake from the factory. Never fuck with perfection. But you did anyway. You dupid!
I am a mercedes owner. 03 e320 w211. If it isn't broke don't fix it. My car runs like a raped ape . Great car and it has legs.
can i buy the original intake parts off of you that you took off?
Nice video! Is it the same process for a C240 2004?
Can u send me the libk for the air filter intake
Can u send me the link to buy the air filters intake kit
C320 W204 air intake installation?
wtf i just bought these should i just return them , i live in vegas where it’s hot asf all the time i’m confused by the comments
Just made warm air inlet
looks dope , did you get anymore horsepower or torque from it ? not going to lie that other intake that was sticking out more looks annoying since to check the power steering oil you have to remove it everytime
Brooow thanks
I wanna buy some for my benz c350
Okay, I get it, my dude. Not throwing shade at all.
That being said.. hi, highschool physics here! Those heat shields will never perform as well as pre trans/ coolant radiator air.
(Again, no offense, but you sound young so peacocking > performance might be your priority.
Larger scoops pre radiator and larger circumference with directors (some may call them impellers but they are agitators technically) leading into the box would perform so much better.
That being said, insulate and line the box with something that has low thermal conductivity.
I know I seem Big Brian right now on public education topics but I'm not trying to be. Please man you can do better.
If you don't believe me, get a flir and take measurements
The mercedes has a built in cold air intake. Yeah man the original intake was much better should have just got high flow filters would have been way better
GOOD JOB !!. you just gain negative -15 horse power. Smh hot air for the engine. People plz don't do this. Engine light will come on 100%> u messing with the ECU airflow calculation
It does look better but that doesn't mean anything my truck in the profile is slow but i know the factory air box is good pulls from fender
There's more cons than pros when fitting these aftermarket filters..
1. They don't offer as good filteration as stock filters.. Allowing a lot of dust over time to clog up your mass air meter, which in turn will present a problem with the measuring of air to fuel ratio? Not to mention the dust that bypasses the filter and settles in the engine??
2. Heat soak will rob your engine of a few horses.. It might not seem that way with all the throaty sound it gives off.. but believe it not.. stock filters will bring in more dense air than under the hood cone filters.. even if you have a heat sheild around it..
3. At best you will only increase your horses by 2-3 horses, if that at all??
You need new engine mounts when you crank it shouldn’t move that much
