Demonstrating my issues with a 2013 SL550 and Keyless Go. The car has been to the Mercedes Benz dealership at least 4 times for this specific issue. They have replaced the door handle, and the batteries in both keys, however the issue is still present.

Richard, I have the same problems with my 14 C300, AND I WORK FOR A MERCEDES DEALER and Mercedes refuses to fix it. It was in the shop for over a month, the problems were duplicated by the tech, I have pictures of "key not detected", and all of that too. But since I work for a dealer I apparently have no recourse. Maybe next time I get a BMW.
I have a 2014 SL550 with 2,600 miles, ordered it and bought new. My keyless doesn't work and I was told I don't drive enough. REALLY! I had a 2005 SL500 and did not drive that much either matter of fact it sat all winter when I was in Florida and my keyless alway's worked. I have replaced both batteries even though I only had the car 7 months and had less then 2,000 miles on it still doesn't work. I was told to drive 40 miles to charge my battery, are you kidding me!!! I love the ride and the look, but am so done with Merzedes I want them to take it back so I can get a car that works the way it should.
I have a 2015 ML350 and I have the same issue with Keyless Go. The car has been back to the dealer three times for this issue and they could not seem to figure it out. They reprogramed the key, replaced batteries, etc. They have been experiencing this issue with other customers vehicles as well and corporate has no direction for them. Fortunately this last time, whatever they did has resolved the issue. My advice is to keep going back to the dealer. Good luck!
you say not a battery issue but are you sure? And try changing to a new key or check the car's signal
What solved problem?
did you ever get the issue solved? My dealer is pretty much telling me that I'm crazy and there is nothing wrong with the keyless go, even though I showed them a video just like yours!!
ok, here is an update as of Tuesday, May 24th. 2016. I took my car one more time to the dealer. They told me that it could be an issue with a key less feature (not explained in the manual or anywhere!). When you press the lock button TWICE or more it disables the key less option. Apparently this option is available so owners don't lock themselves or trigger alarm by mistake.
So far is being working properly. I only use the keyless option or be sure not to press the lock button more than once.
Not sure if this "fixed" the issue, but I'm crossing my fingers is the reason why it didn't work!
I've just sorted this issue. remove key backing case press battery down and everything works fine. so place something on top of the battery before replacing the back cover which will help maintain a good connection with the battery.
having same problem with 2014 E 350 4matic. At dealership now for 3rd time. Sorry sir we can't duplicate.
