Mercedes-Benz wastes no time and has a new production facility that Mercedes
so industrially calls Factory 56 in Sindelfingen, Germany. The factory is
new for the brand, and it’s designed to be much more sustainable than older
car building sites. Another goal for the factory was efficiency. Mercedes
claims that this next-gen S-Class will be produced with 25 percent greater
efficiency than the previous generation thanks to a new assembly system.
On just a single floor, Mercedes will be producing the traditional
gas-powered S-Class, a to-be-announced PHEV variant and the fully-electric EQS. In short, the assembly line is much more flexible than it was before, incorporating new autonomous transport systems and a new modular body and powertrain marriage process. With the 2021 S-Class, we’ve redefined luxury again, re-imagining what’s possible for the future of driving. The new S-Class is longer and wider, and yet all-new rear-axle steering makes it more nimble, with a tighter turning radius for urban driving.

Mercedes-Benz não perde tempo e tem uma nova unidade de produção que a Mercedes assim, industrialmente, chama a Fábrica 56 em Sindelfingen, Alemanha. A fábrica é nova para a marca, e foi projetada para ser muito mais sustentável do que a antiga de construção de automóveis. Outro objetivo para a fábrica era a eficiência. Mercedes
afirma que esta classe S de próxima geração será produzida com 25 por cento a mais eficiência do que a geração anterior, graças a um novo sistema de montagem.
Em um único andar, a Mercedes estará produzindo o tradicional
classe S a gás, uma variante de PHEV a ser anunciada e a totalmente elétrica EQS. Em resumo, a linha de montagem é muito mais flexível do que era antes, incorporando novos sistemas de transporte autônomo e um novo corpo modular e processo de casamento powertrain.
