One morning (Nov. 13, 2017) while members of Nevada Cop Block (NVCopBlock.org) were in the park sharing food during a weekly Food Not Bombs Las Vegas picnic, the City Marshals came swaggering through like John Wayne looking for someone to harass. It didn’t take them long to find someone, a man who is homeless, but outside of that «crime» has never caused any problems with anyone or done pretty much anything negative in all the time that we’ve seen him in the park.
Apparently, he had a key chain with a dangerous and scary can opener on it that they protected the city residents from. In the process, they managed to give the man a ticket they know he can’t pay and that will likely soon turn into a warrant, as a result. That, of course, just makes it that much harder for people that are homeless to improve their situation and get off the streets, since their arrest record will exclude them from job opportunities.
It’s the typical cycle for police and politicians to harass and bully people that represent an easy target based on their economic situation rather than their actual behavior. Then complain about the presence of homeless people once they’ve made their situation worse and created a circumstance that makes it that much harder for them to improve that situation and escape poverty.
I’m personally glad these heroes were there to protect and serve everyone today by ensuring that it will be a little more difficult for that guy to open a can this afternoon. (BTW, according to the LVMPD there’s a severe shortage of cops within Las Vegas police departments — That’s obviously why the city marshals were only able to send four cops to stand around and shoot the shit during this dangerous standoff.)

Wish you had a better mic and video recorder. Could be poeple could come to your aid but this video just does not show enough visual information. Could you enlighten us on Marshal Bowlers Background. He reminds me of a guy I met while walking my dog at the park and then avoided when I lived in Vegas. The guy i'm thinking of was a real dirt bag piece of dog poop that could only attract maggots and the walking dead as friends and company. My dog would never bite the guy but would have been glad to piss on him.

Have you ever noticed police like to Target single men at public parks but if they are with her family they don't bother them?
In norway as example its illegal to carry a knife in public if the blade aint under 6cm, or is part of a bunad costume or your doing work or is going to fish or hunt. So here we usaly say we are going to go fish cause they can not say we were not going to do that. But if you are caught with a knife her cause you cant talk yourself into fishing then its at least 400 dollar in fine.
There is something positive about Marshall's and that is their Decals they have on their units
