The Nissan Murano received a complete redesign in 2015, bringing it more in line with the rest of its stablemates. Since then, it has seen only mild changes here and there. To keep it top of mind with shoppers, we expect Nissan to give this crossover a refresh.
Unfortunately, there are no details yet on what this might entail. The general design of the Murano will likely remain the same, but we may see mild tweaks to the soft parts. This would include things like a new front bumper, grille, headlights, taillights, and rear bumper. It’s doubtful these will all change, but at least a few of them are bound to go under the knife. The changes inside will likely be even lighter than the ones on the outside. Tweaks may include a reworked button configuration and maybe some technology updates.
With this being just a refresh, we do not expect any powertrain updates. We anticipate the Murano using the same 3.5-liter V6 with 260 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. This engine will also continue to pair with a continuously variable transmission that will deliver power to the front wheels as standard or all four wheels with optional all-wheel drive.
