Selling my Audi A3 (petrol) car via Parkside Garage, Thursford, Fakenham Rd Fakenham, Norfolk NR21 0BD — Telephone: 01328 878402

It’s been a brilliant little car — and is for sale through no fault of her own. (Although she’s not immaculate or perfect, she’s an excellent runner.)

I bought her from my son’s friend for £2,200.00 (cash) in 2009 & she’s never once let me down!!

Although there’s no road tax, the M.O.T. has another 6 months to run.

As you can see, the engine is very clean and the car’s been well-maintained for the 100k mileage. (Plus, being an Audi — there should be another 100k left in the car yet!!:D)

As explained in the video, the car isn’t perfect — there’s a couple of superficial scratches here & there, but apart from that, there’s no rust problem anywhere.

The warning light shown in the video came on in November — I didn’t worry too much, as I’d already put a deposit down on the Land Rover by then, (& there didn’t seem to be a problem with the engine other than a small rattle). Plus the onboard computer does sometimes flash warning lights unnecessarily — saying doors are open when they’re closed etc.

Funnily enough, there hadn’t even been a leak until I took it to Parkside Garage today — so the warning light could have been caused by pressure loss, as she started ‘bleeding’ what appears to be coolant today — right at the end of my ownership!!

Andrew (proprietor of Parkside Garage) will check her over & provide the diagnostics on what & where the problem is, and the work can be carried out at the garage for the prospective owner, with costs included in the sale price.

I don’t have any more money to repair this car or tax it — as I’ve already bought the Land Rover Discovery (which will be shown in «In Transition» (Part 2).

Andrew will simply take the repair money from the purchase money — and I’ll get the balance, from which I’ll be able to ‘get my show on the road’ — hopefully!!

As explained in the video — I need to travel around rural areas in Norfolk, Suffolk, East Anglia & beyond — including farms with off-road access, so I couldn’t carry on driving the Audi A3.

(Plus — as Eco-Designs consultant/founder — I couldn’t very well arrive ‘petrol-powered’ could I? — The Land Rover Defender has a brand new V8 LPG engine, which I’m assured needs no petrol!!)

The aim is then to convert the Land Rover Defender to run on Hydrogen rather than LPG — as soon as this is practical. (It’s hard enough to find garages which supply LPG — and I’ve not seen any in Norfolk which supply Hydrogen.)

More on progress with the Land Rover Defender in Part 2 of this series in transition (+ on the 11 ton exhibition lorry which I also bought in order to show Eco-Villages, Eco-Hamlets/Resorts, Transition Towns, CLTs, CoHousing/Coop Housing, WWOOF-ing & Permaculture — which will be shown in Part 3 as soon as possible).

Open Source information of an NGO/Global ARK Project Social Enterprise for clarity — not greed!!

(All offers/donations appreciated & W..H.Y.?!!:)

  1. Oh how I wish I still had the Audi A3! — we were fraudulently miss-sold the Land Rover 110 with the brand new 100% gas propelled V8 4.6 litre, which was supplied faulty from day one in January 2012. (And the supplier, RPi Engineering/RPi International in Horsford, wouldn't give us our money back — even though we had enough evidence, and the supplier had the opportunity to fix their faults — they couldn't. We now have a LONG legal court case — we still have no car, it's shanks pony + bicycle!)
