Finally after wanting one for years, I’ve bought a porsche cayenne to be my next daily driver… What do you think?

Sooooo, what do you think?
Any tools left in the Porsche tool box?
2.20 secs was that a finger nail ….. gross
It's not a range rover though…is it better?
Nice car! I used to want one of these! I’ve recently got a similar age Range Rover sport and like you I generally don’t like my cars to be messed with with aftermarket parts (I don’t mind rear tints for me they are a must just not too dark) but I’ve gotta say… I miss having a built in up to date sat nav, and phone connectivity and I found myself looking at aftermarket head units so I can have the same features that are in my i3. I do think I’ll end up installing an aftermarket unit like yours.
It’s still hated & doesn’t drive any better . These are absolutely gopping & there just a fancy overpriced Vw mate . What you trying to prove with this heap of trash .
I had my 2005 v6 for nearly 1 year now. It’s been an absolute blast to own so far and I love it so much. The v6 makes me less worried for large garage bills. It’s not super fast but at the end of the day it’s not made for speed anyway. I hope you enjoy yours Joel.
big question on my mind is… IS this a better option than a similar aged range rover!?
when your inner child is constantly giggling, exited and forced to talk to anyone about this piece of joy, it might be the right decision, no matter what…
The last time, I felt somewhat simmilar, I bought a one owner Alfa Romeo 156 2.5 V6 for cheap. How it looked, sounded and drove left me in a permenent smile…
Interesting car, I love Porsches, but the engine is a VR6, not a V6. All the best
Does it have ApPlE CaRpLaY? I don’t think you said
One of my channel followers pointed me here after I bought one! Looks like we share a lot of views haha. Good luck with it!
I've always thought replacement infotainment units are a good idea. Sure, cheap ones can be hot garbage, but a decent one can give a car from the 00's/10's all the mod-cons you find in a brand new car. And it's relative easy to find model-specific ones. I generally think car design peaked in that 15 year period in terms of styling and so being able to add that modern convenience is just a win all round.
And sometimes that common colour/engine combo you'd normally avoid can be the most novel one to buy. And a basic, well maintained car is going to be more enjoyable than a more special version that's got tons of deferred and late maintenance, so hopefully the Cayenne will scratch that itch nicely for you.
I do like them, and silver is the best colour for one
What to do with it? A road trip to Stuttgart surely?
When are you doing a range test
When did Jay sell his cayenne? Annoys me when we don't get an official update to be honest
Interesting that this was sold and purchased through bca for a measly £1500, most of the stuff that goes through there has major mechanical faults so I would be a little concerned myself, especially for the price paid
No heated seats!
Owned a 2004 Cayenne S for 10 years and purchased in 2012 for $10,000 in the 10 years of ownership I spent $ 14,000 in repairs and put approximately 96,000 miles on it and had 145,000 miles on the clock. You will have to replace the gas struts for the rear gate every 3 years, the drive shaft will need to be repaired every 60,000 miles — headlights also a problem. Water pump and valve cover gaskets everything seems to go after 10 to 12 years. Not bad to work on would advise getting a Durametric diagnostic unit if you plan on doing all your own repairs. Loved the vehicle just not the parts cost.
What a well composed video…Silver looks good on that car!
Brilliant car. Had my turbo for 10 years had loads of problems but still love it.Just find the right mechanics ! Makes sure you clear the drains
Hey what head unit you got Joel? Looks great want one for my cayenne I just grabbed! Got it for a steal but certainly isn’t quite as nice as yours, great video man very informative
I think you need an MGF in that collection. I can see you in a brightly coloured MGF and I’ve always secretly liked them!
you need the v8 the 3.2 v6 realy dont cut it when it has a Porsche badge
I find the acceleration to be brisk enough, especially when you switch it down to first.
The gearbox does tend to be a bit enthusiastic. Sometimes I do want to drive around in low revs.
Now I just need to get my 928 S4 SE back on the road.
Your car is a total dream I love my hyundai i30 2010 even!!Done tonnes of work on it but your cayenne is so gorgeous, well done!!
What year is it again?
How's the car ? Cheers thinking about buying one
I am literally on my way this Sat to buy one just like that, silver w/ turbo exhaust mod on the 3.2l V6 — it is a 56 plate tho so big tax bill but I have also wanted one for ages….. there is just something really appealing about them for reasons I cant actually describe. I actually wanted mine on coils & not the air suspension as they are so old now it can be a money sink keeping that air suspension in good order.
Nice video!
That Apple Carplay module is awesome!
And where I can buy it? could you please post the link?
THX!
Okay, it doesn't matter what Porsche or Audi or Volkswagen say. It's not a V6. It's a VR6. It's legendary give it its cred where it's due. They don't sound like an inline. 6. They don't sound like a V6. They sound like a VR6 because they are a VR6.
Congratulations!!
Mine is the same color, 2006 3.2 V6.
I also wants to update the OEM radio with a new one like yours.
Do you know what brand is it?
Regards.
Just bought a cayenne 3.2 thanks to your videos lol also have a porsche boxster S 986 just had to get a cayenne as well for family use 7 cars in total love your videos Joel ps can I have some of your wheels lol
hi dear, just i wana ask you if the Porsche Cayenne S 2009 V8 start moving with 2nd gear not the 1st gear when you put in D?
is this normal??
Do you still drive Cayenne, for last 6 months I’m battering if I should buy one
HAHAHAH no worries we also eat our words every now and then
That motor (or one the same size and power) is the motor in my 986S. 3.2 L and 250 HP. It's only 60% the weight of the Cayenne V6. That's a travesty. I'm looking for a 955 Turbo.
Hahaha, Your story is pretty similar to mine's. I bought a Touareg 3.2 in a perfect condition, 80K miles on it.
Love this car (except for its thirsty), spacious (two kids), good traveler and it gives you the possibility of off roading if you like it. I hope you enjoy that Cayenne. Good luck!
I can't believe you have sold it Joel, looks like the L322 has won over your heart more than the cayenne dude….
the exhaust sounds goood!
best intro to a YouTube video…ever. Yes, completely serious.
