I show you how to remove a vacuum hose effortlessly without breaking it. You can also use this method with coolant hoses, but they require a little more pressure. you can also use some kind of lube spray to help assist in removal also installation.

What type band-aid to use on the skinned knuckles received using that caveman approach?
Us cavemen usually just shake it off, man up and keep pushing forward about our business. What kind of band-aid do you use? And what is your technique of removing vacuum hoses, I m curious?

By using a screwdriver to push off the hose, doesn't it do damage to the hose? How about using some lubricant like soap solution before twisting it from side to side and pulling it off?
I'm trying to remove a hose off of my Fuel Leak Detection Pump, and it is very hard to get to. can't get to it with any screwdriver. Any suggestions?

Old video but very useful, I also have a tip for extra stubborn, stucked and super dry hoses that begin to break off when you insert a screwdriver and apply force. Try inserting the screwdriver a bit and if it doesn't budge use penetrating oil or silicone lubricant spray by spraying just a tiny bit inside the hose and after a few twists it will slide right off without problems.
