would like to know if you could do a rear wiper replacement. My Commander wiper arm was caught on my garage door and pried off. I put it back on incorrectly, and it fell off somewhere in my neighborhood. I need advice on what arm to purchase and how to attach it to the Jeep…can you [email protected]
by any chance can you tell me the name of the vent looking thing-a-majig the the wipers are mounted on? mine cracked and i can't find out what its called to get a replacement
What do you do when the wiper arm seems stuck to the spline? I've released the lock lever, but the arm will not pull off the spline. I don't want to put too much pressure to pry it off.
My second question: what could be causing the arm to loose pressure on the blade at the top of it's swipe on the rear window of my 2000 Jeep Wrangler?
1. Wiggle it off with finesse (side to side, round and round etc., pry up as you do it ) also use a rust penetrate and let soak in for about 10 — 15 minutes, ***Put some rags on the painted surfaces and anything else that could get covered with rust penetrate***
2. The spring in the arm is probably week or there is build up in the rivets where the wiper arm floats back and forth to compensate for the bevel on the windshield , try penetrate on those rivets and if that doesn't work replace
the arm. Remember to put rags on the painted surfaces and glass and any thing else you dont want to get sprayed by the rust penetrate, that stuff is a bear to clean up and could harm the paint.I hope this helps Thanks for watching. Please like and share this video.
thank you so much…
also need guidance for cleaning the holes where water comes through, they seem blocked as the water just trickles instead of spraying.
cheers ;0)
I have the same problem that Cregar Back mentioned below on my 2002 Chevy blazer…the arms move back and forth fine but do not clear the winshield of water or snow, I thought it was the blades so replaced them but still nothing. It's almost as if they aren't touching the winshield. Did you find any answers?
I just bought a 1984 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am an the only problem is that it needs a new passengers side wiper arm… But I have to wait till the new arm is shipped to me. I hope this trick works when I try to remove the broken arm tomorrow. I do recall seeing that tab you talked about. I'll be sure to give it a Like if it does.
THX for your video, I was struggling and feared I was going to break it while prying it off. I will lift up on the arm which I didn't go the first time.

I would need to know what year of Commander. Also is it the wiper or the whole arm assembly that was ripped off? Thanks for watching.
