  1. That method maybe used 100 years ago!!!

  2. Friend taught me this trick years ago. Work on pretty much any locking mechanism

  3. Is ok too use Electric contact spray on ignition?

  4. Thanks a lot for sharing your good work!

  5. I tried this; the key goes in and out easier, but the cyliner isn't going in, to turn the ignition. Jiggling works, but it takes a while. I'm considering taking my car in before this gets worse?

  6. my keys get stuck in the ignition most of the times.. tht moment i can neither turn it off nor turn it on and the key doesnt come out unless and until i force it by rotatating on either sides. will this help or will the lead particles get inside and make it worse..

  7. I rather use WD-40 then use pencil lead

  8. What about the fact that graphite is conductive to electricity?

  9. Just tired with a little bit of graphite led shaving and it worked great

  10. Thank you for this excellent tip. All of us who have gone down the route of pumping in ever more WD40, only to find the problem actually getting worse, know it doesn’t work. Tried this and it seems to be working better. I have long suspected that WD40 strips mechanicals of lube, but even some experts recommend it. A little will probably clean a gunked up mechanism but you need to put a graphite or specialist lube in there afterwards

  11. Thank you for the advice, got to say it actually works, took about 4- 5 keys of pencil dust for it to take effect, brilliant

  13. WD40 or some other wet spray lubricant is absolutely the correct lubricant for any modern car lock. The lock is originally lubricated with either a petroleum or lithium based lubricant at the factory.
Adding graphite to this is less than optimal. Ive been a locksmith since 1986 and do this every day. Graphite is terrible advice.

  14. Whatever man. Ive provided you my credentials and the website operated by the State of Virginia on which you can confirm those credentials. You wont look because you would be wrong.
    Good luck with your bullshit.
