With 365bhp and 332lb ft on tap, 0-62mph is a tenth quicker than the regular Carrera at 4.5sec – thanks largely to the shorter final drive.
Perhaps an even better indicator of the car’s pace is the 0-124mph time, which takes 15.1sec. Top speed is beyond 180mph.
In keeping with the ‘pure’ brief, the 911’s seven-speed manual is standard, with a shortened lever for an even more precise feeling shift. The paddleshift PDK transmission can be specced as an option, however.
