The Porsche Caynne and more specificaly the 955 generation Turbo or Turbo S has been on my to do list for a while now. I’ve always lusted after one, more and more so over recent years. Today, I get my first experience behind the wheel of one, non-turbo 4.5 V8 Cayenne S and it didn’t dissapoint!

I have a 04 same color I love mines. V8 gets up and go. Haven’t drove it in Sport mode yet
It is unusually good at cornering
You can buy for 5K, but your going to spend another 15k as it falls apart. Look up they known issues.
New Port Beach mommy SUV; not to mention my neighbor has spent a mint over time maintaining it. Sold it and moved on.
Still ugly
The 955 is still ugly but the front of the 957 is timeless.
Back is alright. Good for overlanding rebuild.
I used to have these cars! Now I love it and I'm currently looming to buy one can't wait to get behind the wheel
This guy talk a lot,but I didn’t get a lot out of it, only thing that he really said the cayenne was excellent on curves, and road smooth
Love the looks. Got a 3.2 but specced out like a Turbo with air suspension, roof, bose, nav. heated seats etc.
I've have a 2006 Cayenne S Titanium. It's a pleasure to own and drive.
2003~2010 made in Porsche original made
Now Volkswagen company made cayenne
Yeah I've been over Jeremy Clarkson's boorish bloviating for a long time now.
I have a 2012 958 S that I got to tow a camper/caravan and I think it is a great vehicle. The camper is a 2017 Lance 1685 so you have an idea of size/weight. It tows like a champ.
The exterior design is 4/10. Interior 7/10. Performance 8/10. Is a good suv since 2018-2023
IDK! I had a 2011 Cayenne S. It was considerably more expensive to maintain than my 2002 ML55. Was NOT faster. Did Handel less “truck like” but, reliability is definitely Lacking…
Still own that ML… dumped the Porsche. FYI I’m a Porsche guy, own a 1986 951 for going on 3 decades I was planning on keeping the Cayenne forever too
I think it looks gorgeous…
I agree with you 100% ITS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS nowadays! I want one, and apparently so does everyone all of a sudden.
12:12 is that an illuminated bonnet bay light?
FF a year and Joel has finally bought one, failed on the turbo and bought one with the Golf engine. I happily waft along in my 650BHP 957 Turbo S and smile when I put it in Sport and hit the loud pedal, proud that the fuel gauge is going down visibly and my current MPG is reading zero. If you’re worried about MPG then you wouldn’t be anywhere near a beast like this or any other gas guzzler. Oh and they are ugly but mine is the exception which proves the rule. Basically these cars need a body kit.
They didn’t try 2:02 making it look like a 911 it’s a Porsche and it’s got Porsche headlights
The dogs I want one too.
I own a 04 cayenne S in the same color except mine is tan interior, but it is hands down my most favorite daily driver. When it comes to styling i think that it has aged the best out of its peers and does not look antiquated in the car park next to its older siblings. im sure Telsa took some design inspiration for the model Y from these 955/957 bodies
