It’s finally time to get my relatively cheaply acquired Porsche Cayenne up onto the ramp at eporsch to find out why I was able to pay what I did for the car, with hopefully no nasty surprises!
Big thank you to eporsch: https://www.eporsch.co.uk/

Top guy Chris is, knows his stuff. Good result.
Shuda got an early AMG ML 55 instead ( they are lighter than late ones)
Joel
Like the videos, but FFS do a course and learn a bit about cars. Its a waste of money if you just keep buying 'cheap' cars and then finding that they are clunkers. I know you have sponsorship and its probably that that pays for them, but for goodness sake buy a gem and then tell us all about it.
looks like you got a good deal there, or you have yet to find the genuine reason for sale! Shame it's still a Porsche though, few people would be prepared to be seen in a car soooo ugly.
Still it's all personal preference. Just 7.1 k till 100k subs! are you going to give a car away in a competition to celebrate?
Great video! Chris was awesome, very knowledgeable, decent and someone you would 100% trust to work on your vehicle. I was in the market for a Cayenne over the last couple of weeks but decided to go with an X5, purely because of the lack of decent options in my area. The cylinder issue would always be something that would play on my mind also. But awesome cars and again really good video.
Good advert for eporsch
click bait
Chris definitely knows his Porsches.
I feel like buying a Porsche just to be able to take it to this chap!
Thats a honest car shop which is excellent and trustable, very professional team.

Porsche Cayenne "ignoramus" here =
What's with the "Grab rails" seen @ 02:07 onward, either side of the Gear knob housing ??????
It's always nice when your mechanic says nice things about your car. It looks like you got a genuine little bargain, all the issues seem like generic 19-year-old car.
Get it Lanoguarded
Hi Joel, I have owned my 3.2 v6 for just over 6 years now & I can honestly say its been the best reliable car I've owned, it also tow's effortlessly. I have dealt with all the little niggles you get, but they are all well documented on one forum or another and easily fixed. The spare parts are cheap because of it being a multi-platform car. In my 6 and a bit years the most expensive repair was the labor charge for replacing the coolant thermostat, the part itself was less than £20. I have the air suspension and its been great and reliable. It just keeps going. It had new disc's and pads fitted when I bought it and I only replaced the pads last year after 50,000 miles. I have looked at other cars in the SUV range and they all compare themselves to the cayenne's greatness. I am only the 3rd owner of my one after 20 years, mines an 04 model by the way, Reg V6 DKD (so you can check it out) even the number plate was cheap. Who cares about the mpg when you drive past all the broken down vehicles on the side of the road. I put an after market head unit that looks great and sorts out the Bluetooth issue as well. If you like reliability you'll keep it, oh and my battery date is 2007. I could go on for hours, all the best.
Carvertical do not sponsor youtube people, they only offer affiliate codes for anyone to use. Use a code and the person gets a small payment.
Carvertical is useful, but you still need someone to check what the correct vehicle identity is. No point checking a cloned plate.
I don't know why people but such 'expensive' cars and then not after them, but that is also the same relating to cheap cars, people running them on a shoe string, then wondering why they fail and they are stuck for hours on the side of the road waiting to be recovered, I guess it is because life has become so costly know and folks do not have a lot of money to maintain their vehicles, perhaps, just a thought.
Love the video and your mechanic Chris seems very honest and genuine! Not like most of the mechanics I have ever dealt with.
A great video. Very informative.
Clickbait title dude
Well as you knew, a 2005 cayenne is on its way to the scrapper and not worth spending money on. Still at 3k, it's shed money and fun to cruise around in.
So it's basically a VW?
Great buy! Fantastic honest mechanic! I had a great mechanic whilst I owned a Cayman S, I cleaned out the sooty throttle bodies, fitted a full stainless exhaust and it felt like a different engine ! Get your throttle bodies and intake clean, air filter replaced, and the leaking exhaust and you will feel a big difference!!!
BIL bought a new one. He has money
Moley moley mole
Lionel Messi as a carmechanic 😛
Btw nice car!!
To be honest that’s a cracking price a lot of car for your money
how much was it?
I've had 2 Mk1 Cayennes 955s, a 4.5 Cayenne S and a Cayenne Turbo 4.5 L Twin Turbo.
Both were amazing but expensive with repairs and fuel.
vr6 ftw
Nice video bud — helped me to know what I am looking out for when I go to buy one on Saturday!
Boring video.
I'm looking at buying a 05 plate Cayenne with a 4.5 litre engine . This video is one of the most informative videos I have ever seen , only trouble is that I need the car up on a ramp before I buy it as there is so much to consider and as my "project" has done 144K miles , a lot more potential wear could be possible . I live in Cornwall and the car is in Bournemouth area which raises the question of do I take a chance or not ? Hard decision but thank you for the video , it is absolutely invaluable !!!
Great video.

Damn…. that mechanic is pure talent
I have a 2005 Cayenne S, that I have had since 2016. It still only has 42,000 miles on it, as I divide my driving over a short list of vehicles, while I keep them all in new condition. I also have a 2008 Cayenne Turbo, and I absolutely love both of my Cayennes. I have loaded them with Carbon Fiber, and do most maintenance myself. I feel these Cayennes will likely out live me, as they are extremely well made, and rugged. I would highly recommend one if you can find one with low miles as I did. Oil changes , brake pads, filters are easy DIY items.
