Great video. Question….my steering wheel is unlocked. I have the emulator and it is programmed to the ignition. Can I just unplug the ESL and plug it into the emulator and be done?
how in the world did you reach the upper bolts. they are super hard to get to and i have no idea what to use.. the one side is super hard to get to.. can't fit even a small elbow in there.????
£260 cost me 2 years ago, just to take is out and code the car without it. 30 min work any guys who code keys . In 2024 is more expensive i heard is about £400

Hi my w204 when I switched off the ignition everything went dead. (Nothing worked)
This happened twice the first time I opened the bonnet and slammed it closed everything came back to life. The second time I opened and slammed the drivers door and all came back to life? Any ideas please.
Thanks a lot, best video after watching dozens. Mercedes charges me usd1,750 for full replacement of the ESL, so I will try first if by replacing the little motor will be enough. Thanks God the whell is unlocked, I have the T20 screwdriver, and a nice Stanley set but it has just the standard hex nuts, no torxs, so you mean that using a standard 10mm will be enough to take out those T-12 screws? And lastly, did you keep the 2 screws on top but unscrewed enough in order shift the column?
If the wheel is unlocked like my case, is there no need to keep the key of the car on or unplug the battery? if I change the ESL motor the key will work as usual? even If I decided to unplug the battery? so like nothing happened in the internal system?
