Driving at over 200mph has forever been an item on my automotive bucket list. With the keys to this gorgeous Tango Red Audi R8 RWD Performance Edition Coupe, now is my chance! Can I brake the sacred 200mph/322km/h mark on the German Autobahn (No Speed Limit)?

Dream come true! What the fastest you’ve driven?
Mad man!
I will say this about driving/riding fast…it is amazing how quickly you get used to it and you find yourself backing off thinking your doing around 60mph and you will still be doing 120mph …. it feels pedestrian.
Also using Carly, pretty handy for a quick readout. It's more for BMW but still ok for the rest.
Joel you're always gonna get some idiots saying you shouldn't take risks or this and that, life does involve risk thats a fact. From where i watched, you did it all right, new car so hardly any chance of mechanical failure, factory spec, seemingly correct time of day, dry roads and bailed on any attempt when a car following a truck came into view or a vehicle entered potentially your path from a junction. Also impressed you recognised the adrenaline factor and took 10 mins to calm down. Great content and the vast majority really enjoyed it including me.
Fantastic! Really pleased for you. I also think that stopping to take a moment to clam down after that run was probably one of the smartest things I've seen a motoring YouTuber do. Also, I can't be the only one who when they saw you had someone in the car with you, hoped it was your dad!
206.87mph
Ive done 180mph in a diesel on the m6
I wish there was an autobahn in America. But if there was, it would be mistreated, and no one would get in the right lane to give passage to faster vehicles.
330kph with a tailwind and the car stopped accelerating, and you said with special timing gear it wouldn't be 200mph. You did do 200mph I can promise you that.
Lose the chewing gum ffs!!
Congrats Joel another great video. What's next…. A range rover off road maybe
Amazing. Good that you recognised that you had to slow down, stop and destress after the high-speed run.
Such a humble man love it
There is no need to cool the car down after high speed, because the air stream cools the engie. The only thing you should not do is going from high speed directly to a rest area or fuel station and turn of the engine. If you turn of the engine, the cooling fan will run for a certain time on battery, but the oil pumps stops working and the heat can not be transported out of the engine.
It's a great feeling hitting that first 200 MPH
AutotopNL does this every day with different cars, with less drama.
Awesome video. Captured the moment !
Epic!
Hi, was over last week also and did 245kph on autobahn in my A4 45TFSI, restricted to 155mph but it is awesome to do and adrelaline rush. Please for you, well done…not jealous…really!
Bro why you always drive on the left lane? There is a thing called "Rechtsfahrgebot" which I believe you also have in the UK which applies also at high speeds. If there is enough space on the right lane, drive on the right lane. No hate at all this is just a thing I noticed 😉
Is that Audi R8 imported to Germany from another country since it’s right hand drive?
60 miles an hour down the road in front of my neighborhood, i’m only 13 so take that as you will…!
Tip from an engineer: When taking something a part, take a picture of what it looks like first. You can refer to the picture when putting it back the same way. Understandably this seems like a lot of pictures for this prohect; however this would prevent extra bolts.
Absolutely exhilarating watching this, just wow!
Now play kerosene while going 300kmh+
Wow… I go 240 regularly, but over that it becomes extremely dangerous and exhausting, you need to be super concentrated
