Just as the title says- on the hunt to do some maintence; I ran across (well, listened to) where the noise was coming from. Turned out to be the little black box on the intake manifold, which would silence right up with a firm hand and a shop rag. Please excuse the last 7 seconds or so, I was hunting for another noise as well.

That's the DISA unit. The noise you're hearing is the plastic flap on it that sticks inside the instate manifold. The retainer has worn and worked its way loose. There is a metal screw on that which can come loose and get ingested by the engine. Replace the DISA unit or get one of the repair kits. I hope this has been fixed by now, as the video was posted a year ago. Good luck!
