Mine failed last month, this is what the mot said "Exhaust noise is clearly in excess of that emitted by a similar vehicle fitted with a standard silencer in average condition (8.1.1 (a))" so technically any exhaust louder than standard will fail, but really it just depends if the mot tester is a bell end or not, went to another place and it passed fine

When you take the box away you lose back pressure so youve lost a small amount of power….you might start getting EGM light coming on after so long..
