Car New | Mazda CX-3 Wins 2016 Thailand Car Of The Year Award
The Mazda CX-3 has been awarded the 2016 Thailand Car of The Year Award by the Thai Automotive Journalists Association , now in its second year running. Bangkok Post reports, the Mazda CX-3 came out on tops, in a group of 10 finalists. In second and third places were the Honda Civic and BMW X1 respectively. The rest of the 10 finalists finished in the following order.
The judging panel included over 50 journalists with TAJA accreditation who evaluated the cars in a two-stage scoring activity. Vehicles were judged based on design, performance, safety, technology, practicality, pricing and eco-friendliness. To be selected for judging – vehicles have to be assembled in Thailand; launched between 1st October 2015 and 30th September 2016.
Last year, the Ford Everest edged out the Mazda 2 and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport SUV respectively to take home the TAJA award.
